In “A Mile in His Shoes,” an 18-year-old Mickey Tussler, who lives with autism, catches the eye of minor league baseball manager Arthur “Murph” Murphy due to his remarkable pitching abilities. Venturing beyond the confines of his family’s farm, Mickey’s talent is undeniable, prompting Murphy to persuade his parents to let him join “the River Rats.”

As Mickey integrates into the team, he finds a mentor in teammate Pee Wee but faces challenges from a resentful top pitcher.
