Winterball Baseball warmed hearts this holiday season by supporting the U.S. Marines’ Toys for Tots program. The entry fee for players? One unwrapped toy, destined to brighten the Christmas mornings of children in need.
Amid the frosty air and holiday spirit, five U.S. Marines—Cpl. Austin Li, Cpl. Connor Vassar, LCpl. Madison Flynn, LCpl. Ethan Shallman, and LCpl. Aiden Jerome—joined approximately 40 Boston baseball league players in this festive tradition. Together, they collected an full van haul of toys to share the joy of the season.
Special thanks to Weymouth City Councilor Fred Happel for joining us and spreading the holiday cheer. Here’s to another successful Winterball!
Lance Corporal Madison Flynn of the U.S. Marines kicked off the festivities with a perfect ceremonial first pitch (well, a little bit high), delivered to Winterball veteran Jay Thomas, setting the tone for a day filled with holiday spirit.
The Weymouth Recreation Department outdid themselves once again, delighting everyone with their festive inflatable holiday figures decorating the outfield!
