In “Dealin’ with Idiots,” comedian Max Morris, played by Jeff Garlin, finds himself uninspired and decides to seek material for his next movie from an unexpected source: his son’s youth league baseball team. Struggling to enjoy the games due to his son’s lack of skill, Max opts to interview the eccentric parents and coaches involved with the team to gather content for his film.

Among the characters he encounters are the team’s coach, played by Bob Odenkirk, who runs a copy shop and holds petty grudges, and the assistant coach, played by J.B. Smoove, who invites Max to a strange writer’s group. Through these interactions, Max explores the peculiar dynamics and competitive spirit surrounding youth baseball, all in the pursuit of inspiration for his next creative project.
