In “Ball of Wax,” Bret Packard is not just the world’s top baseball player, he’s also a cunning manipulator who becomes bored with his success. When a teammate gets stabbed during a brawl, Packard exploits the chaos to turn his teammates against each other, using promises of power and money to destroy the team from within.

Realizing their lives and careers are at risk, the team starts to fight back. Led by a few perceptive teammates, they struggle to reclaim their sport and their lives from Packard’s toxic influence.
