In 1972, brothers Mickey and Roger embark on a road trip from Los Angeles to Pittsburgh to see baseball legend Roberto Clemente’s 3,000th hit. Despite Roger’s muscular dystrophy and only having a learner’s permit, the duo is undeterred, joined by their supportive grandfather.
As they journey across the country, they encounter an array of colorful characters—from a runaway and a motorcycle gang leader to a compassionate farmer and an emergency room doctor. Meanwhile, their worried mother follows close behind. The journey tests family bonds and celebrates the importance of pursuing dreams against all odds.
