2026 America Icons Baseball Glove

The U.S. Postal Service’s American Icons commemorative stamp collection, curated by Ralph Lauren, celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States through 13 images rooted in American history, culture, and identity. Issued as Forever 78¢ stamps, the pane brings together familiar symbols meant to reflect freedom, independence, equality, opportunity, and the pursuit of happiness.

The collection features a wide range of American imagery, including an American flag, pickup truck, faithful dog, teddy bear, Empire State Building, barn, Diné (Navajo) blanket, lighthouse, hamburger, racing sailboat, horses, and a central Ralph Lauren-designed knit flag marked “1776 to 2026.” Together, the stamps create a visual portrait of Americana, framed by denim and Ralph Lauren’s signature sense of classic American style.

The baseball glove stamp is one of the most meaningful images in the set. Featuring a well-worn glove holding a baseball against a patriotic backdrop, the stamp honors baseball’s place in American life while also carrying deeper significance: the glove was used by Jackie Robinson, making it a symbol of equality, teamwork, perseverance, and the enduring connection between America’s pastime and the nation’s broader story.
