Curve Ball Hazy IPA
Made by Bronx Brewery, Curve Ball is a milkshake IPA that explodes with unique hop quality. It is a sister to their Juiced Ball, and uses the same Brewers Malt, Pilsen, Wheat grains and fruit forward flavors.
Fruity, but without the addition of any real fruit extract, they used Galena hops – which feature flavors of peach and pear – as well as a strain of hops from New Zealand so new it doesn’t even have a name yet. New Zealand hops are famous for their tropical, vibrant flavor profiles and NZ107 (as it’s currently known) delivers bold guava, passionfruit, and citrus.
But this isn’t just any traditional IPA. They’ve also added lactose to this brew, making it a Milkshake IPA. The lactose plays with the hops to create an almost creamsicle flavor and also creates a full-bodied texture and sweet, creamy body.
ABV – 8.0%
IBU – 34
About Bronx Brewery
The Bronx Brewery was started by Chris Gallant and Damian Brown to share their love of pale ales within the five boroughs of NYC. While they focus mainly on the pale ale, they also produce small batch and barrel-aged beer.
