Moonlight Graham Slam Stout

Moonlight Graham Slam by Dimensional Brewing Company draws its name and spirit from Archibald “Moonlight” Graham, the real-life ballplayer immortalized in Field of Dreams. In the film, Ray Kinsella learns that Graham played only a single Major League inning before spending the rest of his life as a small-town doctor, a story that becomes the emotional backbone of Ray’s journey through baseball, memory, and purpose. The brewery nods directly to that legacy, with the movie filmed just down the road in Dyersville and Graham’s Minnesota roots tying the story back to the region.

The beer itself is a full-strength pastry imperial stout brewed with Back Channel Brewing Collective, packed with Moon Pies, marshmallow, cashews, and graham cracker. It’s rich, sweet, and layered, landing with the dessert-like depth you’d expect from a beer honoring a man whose legacy grew far beyond his short time in the big leagues. Moonlight Graham Slam drinks like a tribute: bold, memorable, and built to linger long after the glass is empty.

Ray Meets Moonlight Graham

When Ray meets Moonlight Graham in Field of Dreams, he finds him living as an elderly small-town doctor who quietly walked away from baseball after appearing in only one inning. Ray asks if he ever regretted not getting an at-bat, and Graham admits that he wishes he had just one chance to swing the bat, but never at the cost of the life he built helping people. Their conversation becomes the bridge that later brings Graham to the field, where he finally gets that long-denied moment.
