The Cowboys

Los Vaqueros is a blood orange Kölsch style ale brewed by 5×5 Brewing Co. in association with The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, known as UT-RGV, and created for fans of Vaqueros athletics, including the university’s NCAA Division I baseball team in the Western Athletic Conference. The Vaqueros name reflects the region’s South Texas heritage, since “vaquero” is the Spanish word for cowboy and the identity used across all UT-RGV sports.

The beer is crisp, dry, and easy drinking with a touch of blood orange sweetness. It is made for hot Valley days, UT-RGV game nights, and backyard BBQ sessions where the V’s are up and the beers are on ice.
