In the midst of a pivotal scientific experiment, a college professor’s lab is disrupted by a stray baseball, shattering his glassware. This accident leads to the formation of a unique chemical, “methylethylpropylbutyl”, which, when coated on the baseball, causes it to be repelled by wood.

Seeing the groundbreaking potential of his accidental discovery, the professor takes a hiatus and heads to St. Louis to join the big leagues as a pitcher. His newfound secret weapon quickly makes waves, catapulting him to stardom and propelling his team towards the coveted World Series.
