In “Whistling in Brooklyn,” radio detective Wally Benton, aka “The Fox,” finds himself undercover with the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbets Field. Intending to tie the knot at Niagara Falls, his plans go awry when he’s falsely accused of being “Constant Reader,” a figure tipping off newspapers about unsolved murders.

On the run and pursued by both law enforcement and the real “Constant Reader,” Wally must clear his name while dodging bullets. Through a web of clues that takes him from abandoned warehouses to the baseball diamond, he races against time to solve the crimes and save his fiancée, assistant, and a nosy reporter from a perilous fate.
