303 Lager

Part of Broken Bat Brewing’s “Baseball Record Book Beer Series,” 303 Lager nods to the historic mark of 303 home runs hit in the 1999 season at Coors Field — a Major League record for a single ballpark in one year, by the team and their opponents combined.

The beer begins as a clean lager aged for seven months in gin barrels, then is finished with blueberry and honey for a slightly sweet finish that mirrors the long-ball barrage.

Leading the home team that year were the Colorado Rockies’ top slugging Blake Street Bombers: Larry Walker (37 HR), Dante Bichette (34 HR), Todd Helton (35 HR) and Vinny Castilla (33 HR). These hitters helped fuel the home-run explosion that inspired this bold lager built for summer, long balls and an unforgettable season.

ABV – 5.3%
