1st & 3rd Berliner Weisse

Made by Left Field Brewery, 1st & 3rd Berliner Weisse is a baseball beer that’s an interpretation of the Berliner Weisse style of sour ale. They kettle-soured a mash made from 50% wheat with their house strain of lactobacillus. They made use of a blend of Belgian and American ale yeasts to produce a beer with light body, nuances of stone fruit, very low bitterness and clean, gentle tartness reminiscent of lemonade. Consider adding a sweet fruit or herbal syrup to the beer.
