Morganna the Kissing Bandit
Made by Left Field Brewery, Morganna the Kissing Bandit is a Brett dry hopped sour baseball beer honoring the buxom babe who would run onto the baseball field and kiss pro athletes. Pale gold in color and boasting a big haze, this zippy brew was fermented with our house ale yeast, lactobacillus and brettanomyces and dry hopped with Galaxy, Vic Secret and Motueka. Morganna explodes with notes of juicy ripe apricot, sweet guava, puckering lemon zest, and funky barnyard.
Morganna Roberts’ career began in 1969 when she rushed onto the field at Crosley Field, Cincinnati and kissed Reds player Pete Rose. She was dubbed “the Kissing Bandit” from a Cincinnati sportswriter who announced her arrival with the headline: “Bandit steals kiss from Pete Rose.” By 1990, she had kissed 37 MLB players on the field, including George Brett, Nolan Ryan and Cal Ripken.
